Privacy & control
Who can see what
The short version: only the family members you invite. There is no public side of KeepSaiQ, so there is no audience to accidentally expose anything to.
Who can see your content
Only the family members you invite. There is no public profile, no feed, no follower graph, and no discovery surface, which means there is no configuration you have to maintain to stay private — privacy is a property of the design rather than a setting you defend.
Nothing your family adds is published anywhere. Anything that leaves the family does so because a family member deliberately sent it.
What our systems do with it
Some features process your content with AI services inside our own cloud infrastructure: photo analysis to recognise faces and scenes, voice-to-text transcription, and generated captions, questions, and insights. That processing is how transcription and search work at all.
It is also precisely why we do not claim end-to-end encryption. Content is encrypted in transit and at rest, but our systems can read it in order to do that work, and a service that processes your content cannot honestly claim otherwise.
Your family's content is not used to train AI models, and the providers that process it do not use it to train theirs. If that ever changes, we will ask you first.
Analytics and cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and the service secure. Analytics are off by default and we ask before measuring anything; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. None of this involves reading your family's content — product analytics measure how the interface is used, not what is in your archive.
People grouping
Grouping photographs by person is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, a face signature — a numeric representation rather than a picture — is stored inside our cloud account, kept separately for each family, and used only to group that family's own photos. It is never used to identify anyone outside your family.
Turn people grouping off and your family's signatures are deleted; they are also deleted when the family is deleted. The complete schedule is published on the Biometric Data Policy page.
Common questions
- Is KeepSaiQ end-to-end encrypted?
- No. Content is encrypted in transit and at rest, but the system reads it to transcribe recordings and analyse photos, so an end-to-end claim would be false. We would rather state the accurate protection than the impressive one.
- Can KeepSaiQ staff read my family's memories?
- Content is not browsed as a matter of course, and it is not shared outside your family or used to train AI models. Because the platform processes content to provide features like transcription and search, it is technically readable by the systems that run it — which is the honest answer, and the reason we do not claim end-to-end encryption.
- Do you sell family data or show ads?
- No. There is no advertising in the product and family content is shared only with the family members you invite. Service providers each receive only what they need to provide their service, and the full list is published.

Private by design, not by setting
No feed, no followers, no advertising, no discovery. Family content is encrypted in transit and at rest, visible only to invited family, and not used to train AI.
